MY BIO:
With over 20 years of experience in the automotive, wine & spirits and consumer products industries, I am a Fortune 500-level commercial leadership executive who helps companies effectively build & optimize their sales & marketing infrastructure and build winning teams and cultures so that they can maximize revenue, achieve their financial targets, build brand equity and deliver the best in consumer satisfaction.
My core competencies are leadership, critical-thinking, sales & marketing strategy and business development. I have a proven track record of driving growth in revenue, profit, and market share, exceeding business plan targets as well as building high-performance teams and brands.
I rose quickly through the ranks of leading public companies in the beverage alcohol and consumer packaged goods spaces based on my ability to lead organizations, inspire people, solve problems and get results. As an entrepreneur, I have also successfully created and launched two of my own wine brands, one of which was retailed in over 100 stores across Western Canada and was featured in the Washington Post.
Applying my diverse experience to a start-up environment, I also led the global sales and marketing effort for ElectraMeccanica, a Vancouver-based EV manufacturer, building its order book and brand profile across both consumer and fleet customer constituencies and helping it become a NASDAQ listed public company. As a management consultant, I have also been involved in helping launch a tech-driven, health care startup (a new industry for me), writing investor presentations to help bring clinics, doctors and investors on board.
Apart from my business life, I am also an accomplished endurance running athlete and two-time Boston Marathon competitor (3:28 in 2023 ), an automotive enthusiast with a motorsport background and a wine industry expert who has written two books helping train both wine sales & marketing representatives and hospitality industry service employees on how to be successful in the wine trade.
